FAA Luncheon -- Freemont, California Hi everyone, it's been a long time since our last luncheon, which by the way was a great success, because some people came for the first time, like Jim Perkins, Jim Tarver, Dom Torchia, Elliot Smith and recent retirees. I hope to see you guys again. The luncheon will be on Thursday, February 26, at Spin-a Yarn restaurant, 45915 Warm Springs Blvd., Fremont, at 12:00 noon. Portland Tower/TRACON The Air Traffic retirees of Portland Tower/TRACON (PDX) cordially invite former friends and colleagues to attend their quarterly luncheons which will be held on the first Tuesday of each quarter at 11:30. Site of the luncheon is the Old Spaghetti Factory, 12725 SE 93rd Ave. in Clackamas, Oregon. The restaurant is adjacent to the Clackamas Town Center off Interstate 205. J. Fox Airfield, Terminal Building, 4555 West Avenue G,
Lancaster, CA 93536. at 11:30. It's a good opportunity to catch
up with long-time friends and to make new acquaintances. Rockville, Maryland Area
Luncheons Luncheons are being held in the Rockville Maryland and surrounding areas on an irregular, but nearly bimonthly basis by a small group of former Headquarters employees, mostly with engineering background. However all local FAA'ers are welcome to get on my notification email list. We vary the restaurant chosen each time to experience a variety of cuisines. We also have taken group trips to visit sites of interest, such as the fairly new FAA System Command Center in Herndon (formerly Flow Control), the Potomac Tracon, the Udhar-Hazy Smithsonian aviation museum and the Leesburg ARTCC, etc. Most recently we had a luncheon speaker, Mr. John Tippets, talk about his father, Joe Tippets, who was an Associate Administrator in the late 60's.
