Joined Air Force in June 1952. Control Tower Operator at Harlingen AFB, Texas, Hahn AFB and Spangdahlem AFB, Germany.
Began CAA/FAA career at Omaha, NE Tower and Rapcon, 1956.
Married Joan Klassen at Staceyville, IA, 1957.

Retired on Dec. 31, 1988. A year later went back to Work as a Chief Systems Engineer for Diversified International Sciences Corp at Hampton, VA. Then back to the Chicago Area three years later and after a couple more years off, I went back to the RO as a contractor supporting the new O'Hare Tower/Elgin Tracon project. Retired to Arkansas on Nov. 1, 1996. Built a new house on a golf course where Joan and I are trying very hard to learn the game. I'm still consulting on a couple of projects back in the Hampton, Langley area whenever they call.
