This is a reminder to mark your calendar for the best Detroit Metro/SOAP Mini Reunion. The dates are March 19, 20 and 21, 2010 and will be held again in Orlando, Florida. The event this year will be at the Ramada Inn, located at 6500 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819. Note that this is not the Ramada we have stayed at in past years. It is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, attractions, etc. All rooms overlook the lake that is part of the Wet and Wild Water Park . All rooms have two queen size beds, small refrigerator, microwave, free wireless internet and a safe. An above average continental breakfast is included, which will eliminate some of the problems we previously had for getting anything but a breakfast buffet at the old Ramada. The rate at the previous Ramada was $59.95 + a $5.00 Resort Fee, for a total of $64.95. The Sales Director at the new Ramada, gave us a flat rate of $65.00, even though the dates we requested are during spring break time. Most of the folks this year wanted the date closer to the end of March, and the dates listed above were the best we could do without getting closer to Easter and at a much higher rate. It is now time to begin making reservations, - the deadline for getting our rate is 2/15/2010. The reservations are in the name of "Detroit Metro-SOAP group" and the telephone number is 407-345-5340 or 800-458-6744. If you have any difficulty, ask for Margie or Cary. We would appreciate it if you would advise us when you make reservations so we may keep a record on who is planning to attend. Our home phone number is 928-252-3546 and email is trjones8726@yahoo.com <mailto:trjones8726@yahoo.com> There seems to be additional interest this year and we are again looking forward to another great get-together.
