Last Thursday another retired airline pilot & myself were doing a Twin Cities airport tour and I called ahead to Ron Huffman's cell, hoping he was working @ Anoka County Tower. Frosty answered and within a moment he told me he no longer works @ ANE and that he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We were disconnected at that point. Today I called his house and spoke with Vera. Frosty is in the hospital up in Duluth today having tests. She did not offer a prognosis and I was afraid to ask. We talked quite a while. Last week Glen Nygard told me that Frosty worked right up to October 1st but had not been feeling well, mostly tired. Dex shows Frosty's address as: 2703 E. Superior Street, Duluth MN 55812. His phone is 218 728 5829. Vera gave me permission to send this mail but whether Frosty will be able to talk is a hit and miss thing I would guess. To know him is to love him most of you would agree.
