I'm sure many of the Airway Pioneers members know or have heard of Alan " Pappy"Taylor #1981. I believe he was chief at Chicago or Detroit in 1941. Pappy once told me that he flew on a trip with the founder of American Airlines in one of the American tri-motors. He certainly is a pioneer and what a great guy. One of our long time secretaries at Washington Center, Betty Armstrong, visited Pappy in Williamsburg, Virginia and she was happy to find him in good health and sprits. He has trouble seeing but Betty said that he is lucid and remembers all of his old co-workers. Pappy was 97 in May and if anyone is in the Williamsburg area he would love to have them stop by and visit. 5500 Williamsburg Landing Road Room 143 Williamsburg VA 23185 Thanks' Al
