Thank all of you for your expressions of concern over the surgical procedures that I had begun. I said last Thursday, I had a temporary stent placed in my trachea in an out patient procedure. Well, by Thursday evening I was having trouble breathing and sleeping. By Saturday, I was admitted to the hospital and am still in the hospital. I will be having the stent removed tomorrow (Wednesday). Because of the difficulties I have been experiencing, I do not plan to take the next step of having a tracheoplasty and I will be returning from Boston to Maryland on Thursday. I guess I have learned that at my age, it doesn't pay to have elective surgery performed.
