Hello Jim, I hope all is well in beautiful Michigan.
In the article entitled "Southern California Members" in The Pioneer Volume 50, Issue 1, it is stated "With the Region closing, there must be photos ..."
I'm not sure where that information came from, but there are no plans to close the Western-Pacific (AWP) Regional Office. Let me assure you that the Western-Pacific Regional Office is doing well; our tenants include Flight Standards, Airports, Medical, Security, Special Programs, Executive Services, Public Affairs, Civil Rights, Logistics, Legal, Runway Safety, Human Resources, Information Technology, as well as several FAA field offices. While the Air Traffic Organization continues to relocate to the Northwest Mountain Regional Office in Seattle, more FAA offices continue to move into the AWP building in Hawthorne, California, so we are thriving.
I hope this puts the record straight.
Keep up the good work with the organization!
