If you'd like to use mine, you certainly can - bjjones487@yahoo.com. He no longer even tries to use his iPad or Kindle. I'm taking his iPad with me this afternoon to help him catch up on Facebook, and to see more pictures of our brand new great- grandson, born just 10 days ago. Tom is in reasonably good health, but needs assistance for most activities. He is now and for the foreseeable future, living in a small one bedroom apartment in the memory care unit of a lovely assisted living facility, about 25 minutes from our house. They all love him there, joke with him, and encourage him to join in the activities, which he does occasionally. There are a few vets living there also, though he is the only one from WWII, and four of them sit together for most meals. The Director loves having an "all guys" table. He is often quite confused and always wants to "go home", but mostly realizes I can no longer be his full-time caregiver. Though I visit him for a few hours every day, It's sad for us both. I'm doing okay, and after 5 weeks of house guests in a six week period, I'm trying to figure out what my "new normal" will be. It's a process. He enjoys getting and reading cards, which I display for him where he can see them easily.
